There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney:
Property and Affairs Lasting Power of Attorney – This will allow your attorney(s) to manage your financial affairs to include:
Looking after your bank accounts, savings or investments
Paying bills
Buying and selling property on your behalfs
Claiming welfare benefits on your behalf
Personal Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney – This will allow your attorney(s) to manage your healthcare in the event that you are ill, disabled or mentally unwell. These include decisions concerning:
Your daily routine, including what you wear and eat
Where you live
Medical care
You can choose one or both.
