Before attending an appointment, you may be asked the
following:-
- The nature of the document that
needs my attention
- The country to which it is
going
- When it is required
- Whether the document is in a
foreign language
- Whether you are being advised
by a foreign lawyer
- To fax/email or bring in the
document and provide instructions in advance
- To obtain additional
information or advice from your foreign lawyer
- If you are acting on behalf of
another, evidence of your authority such as the original
valid Power of Attorney
- To bring to your appointment
evidence of your identity such as a valid passport or
full driving licence (paper licence and photo card) and
a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your
name and address
- If Legalisation is required,
whether you intend to make your own arrangements
The above
information will assist me provide you with a
quotation/estimate of my fees and any disbursements such as
interpreter/ translator/ agent/ Legalisation/ Consulate
fees.
When attending your
appointment, you may be asked the following:-
- To provide money on account of
fees
- To seek legal advice from a
foreign lawyer
- To attend again with an
independent translator or interpreter
- To collect the document at a
later date
